well.. all religions.. have a lot of similarity.... and.. all religion aims at one thing... love one anoter.. love god... but christianity is the only one which has the god human relationship.. rest of all religion talks abt man to man relation.. and realizing of self and then realize god..... we have been so .lucky cause jesus.. himself.. came down and saved us...and taught the way.. to eternity

is this true??

it dont matter
Jeus is an ideal

i choose to follow the ideal
the historical Jesus is not important

even if it is prooved Jesus never existed

i will still love Jesus

no one thinks that way saby..it's disturbing..they are 2 kinds-one who hails jesus as the only GOD and others who are non-believers and they make statement that hurt the religious statement for whom religion is close to his heart.....
what can be the way out????

I have no difference of opinion with Jesus being the greatest, far ahead of the rest. That is my opinion too.
My point is you are not honoring Him by chanting His name or by clinging to Bible without seeing rhyme or reason.
What is important is understanding Him and trying to follow Him.
I say that there is no gain in chanting Jesus instead of an Allah or a Krishna or any other name.

He has clearly stated that up till John people were in Law and John was the greatest born of woman in law. He continues saying that the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John. and How do you get to kingdom of heaven. By being born again in spirit. You die to law/flesh/material world and are born in a spirit of love to enter the kingdom of heaven.

why do you still want to cling to all the laws in the Bible. When you are of the spirit the law is automatically taken care of. Thus when you are of the spirit of love it is fully sufficient and you are saved and you need nothing more.

like. wht i mean is.. u take all the asian religion like budhism.. taoism.. jainsism... and hinduism.... etc... they all belive tht.. to reach moksha or enlighment.. (similar to heaven in christianity,,,) we should be enlighted.. and they give imp to this world.. and relationship with the objects in this world..... but in christianity... redemption comes through blind faith in god... and we have things like miracles.. a lot.. in rest of religion its more scintific.. like hindus got vedas.. etc... we dont have any reasoniing an stuff just accept our one god as everything. follow him blindly..... i am bad at exlaining things.. hope u got the idea...

God has no religion

Jesus said Love God and neighbour
dats all dat is required

He said Love God meaning
dont worship false Gods lije Wealth, fame, etc

u cant Love God
coz u dont see God

but u must see God in the poor, the marginalized as Mother Theresa did

'i was hungry and u didnt feed me ....' will be the judgement call

Jesus is anti-religion

He was born jew
He revolted against the rules and rituals of Jews

Not all those who say unto me LORD Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven

read the parable of the Good Samaritan

Jim said...

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
(Translation according to the King James Version of the Bible)

The story was frequently told in an elaborated form in the Medieval period, and Lazarus was venerated as a patron saint of lepers by the Roman Catholic Church. The story was also sung to a folk tune[2] in medieval England, and as a traditional spiritual.[3] Vaughan Williams composed an orchestral piece based upon it. Richard Crashaw wrote a metaphysical stanza for his Steps to the Temple in 1646 entitled, "Upon Lazarus His Tears":

"Rich Lazarus! richer in those gems, thy tears,
Than Dives in the robes he wears:
He scorns them now, but oh they'll suit full well
With the purple he must wear in hell."
The parable illustrates a theme common to several of Jesus's parables: the treatment of the least of society is the true measure of piety. The rich man's claims to external virtue and legal satisfaction could not compensate for his neglect of the poor man. Jesus taught, repeatedly, that the Kingdom of God is within the soul and not in the law, in contrast to the Pharisean understanding of the Messiah.
