Year 2007: India poised, our time is now
One India is straining at the leash, eager to spring forth and live up to all the adjectives that the world has been showering recently upon us.
The other India is the leash.
One India says, give me a chance and I'll prove myself.
The other India says, prove yourself first and maybe then you'll have a chance.
One India lives in the-optimism of our hearts.
The other India lurks in the skepticism of our minds.
One India wants. The other India hopes.
One India leads. The other India follows.
But conversions are on the rise.
With each passing day more and more people from the other India have been coming over to this side.
And quietly, while the world is not looking, a pulsating, dynamic, new India is emerging.
An India whose faith in success is far greater than its fear of failure.
An India that no longer boycotts foreign-made goods but buys out the
companies that make them instead.
History, they say, is a bad motorist.
It rarely ever signals its intentions when it is taking a turn.
This is that rarely-ever moment. History is turning a page.
For more than half a century, our nation has sprung, stumbled, run, fallen, rolled over, got up, dusted herself and cantered, sometimes lurched on.
But today, as we begin our 60th year as a free nation, the ride has brought us to the edge of time's great precipice.
.
And one India - a tiny little voice at the back of the head - is looking down at the bottom of the ravine and hesitating.
The other India is looking up at the sky and saying, it's time to fly.
Today's leaders must rally around a vision of what an organization can become." He added, "Organizations must always strive to get better and faster... or get beaten!

Everything must change
Nothing stays the same
Everyone must change
No one stays the same
The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged
There are not many things in life
You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And hummingbirds do fly
Winter turns to spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon
Yes everything must change
The young become the old
And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged
There are not many things in life
You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And butterflies do fly
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And music
And music
Makes me cry

James Brown has gone
Say it louder (I got a mouth)
Say it louder (I got a mouth)
Look a'here, some people say we got a lot of malice
Some say it's a lotta nerve
I say we won't quit moving
Til we get what we deserve
We've been buked and we've been scourned
We've been treated bad, talked about
As just as sure as you're born
But just as sure as it take
Two eyes to make a pair, huh Brother, we can't quit until we get our share
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud, one more time
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud, huh I've worked on jobs with my feet and my hands
But all the work I did was for the other man
And now we demands a chance
To do things for ourselves we tired of beating our heads against the wall
And working for someone else
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud Say it loud,
I'm black and I'm proud
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud,
oowee Ooowee, ou're killing me
Alright uh, you're out of sight
Alright, so tough, you're tough enough
Ooowee uh, you're killing me, oow Say it loud,
I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Now we demand a chance to do things for ourselves
We tired of beating our heads against the wall
And working for someone else
A look a'here, One thing more I got to say right here Now, we're people like the birds and the bees
We rather die on our feet,
Than keep living on our knees
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud, hu Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud,
hu Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud,
Lord'a Lord'a Lord'a Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud,
ooooh Uh, alright now, good Lord
You know we can do the boog-a-loo
Now we can say we do the Funky Broadway!
Now we can do, hu
Sometimes we dance, we sing and we talk
You know I do like to do the camel walk
Alright now, hu alright, Alright now, ha Say it loud,
I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud, let me hear ya
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Now we's demands a chance to do things for ourselves
We're tired of beating our heads against the wall
And working for someone else, hu Now we're our people, too
We're like the birds and the bees, But we'd rather die on our feet,
Than keep a'living on our knees
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud, let me hear ha', huh
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud, hu
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
Oooow, oowee, you're killing me, alright Uh, outa sight, alright you're outa sight
Ooowee, oh Lord, Ooowee, you're killing me
Ooowee, ooowee, ooowee, ooowee, ow
Say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud, hu
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud ,
Lord I feel it Say it loud,
I'm black and I'm proud
Say it louder, I'm black and I'm proud
James Brown, the "Godfather of Soul," the pioneer of funk, and the rhythmic backbone of hip-hop, has been swaddled in his signature bejeweled fur cape for the final time.
Brown, known for his raucous stage shows as much as his bold hits "Sex Machine," "I Got You (I Feel Good)" and "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," died yesterday morning at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, where he had been hospitalized Sunday with pneumonia. He was 73.
"James Brown changed music," said the Rev. Al Sharpton, who was part of Brown's tour entourage in the 1970s. "He made soul music a world music. What James Brown was to music in terms of soul and hip-hop, rap, all of that, is what Bach was to classical music. This is a guy who literally changed the music industry. He put everybody on a different beat, a different style of music. He pioneered it."Concerts from the self-proclaimed "Hardest working man in show business" are the stuff of legend – from his multiple spins, his swiveling hips and constantly twitching feet to the traditional ending, where Brown swoons from exhaustion, only to bounce back again. Those performances mirrored his tumultuous life. Born in Barnwell, S.C., in 1933, Brown was only 4 years old when he was abandoned by his parents. As a teenager, he spent more than three years in reform school for breaking into cars. However, it was at the Toccoa, Ga., school that he met Bobby Byrd, who brought Brown into a group that became known as the Famous Flames. The band landed a record deal in 1956 with King Records in Cincinnati and, soon after that, had a hit with the dramatic rhythm and blues ballad "Please, Please, Please."Brown then developed the James Brown Revue – the J.B.'s for short – which created a brand new style of soul, punctuated with staccato horn blasts and intricate rhythms generated by two drummers."To explain the fever pitch that James Brown records set ... it would take using words still not invented," Public Enemy's Chuck D wrote in 2002. "Today, hip-hop seems a far distance from the mighty funk the man set upon all of us."However, Brown's new ideas extended well beyond music. His song "Say It Loud -- I'm Black and I'm Proud," released in the racially charged times of 1968, after the murder of the Rev. Martin Luther King, became an instant anthem."James Brown single-handedly took a lost and confused musical nation of people and bonded them with a fix of words, music and attitude," Chuck D. wrote in the liner notes for the reissue of Brown's "Say It Live and Loud" album. "After a hot summer of baseball camp, summer lunches and barbecues, 'Say It Loud -- I'm Black and I'm Proud' was the catch phrase that prepared me for the third grade, 1969, and the rest of my life. 'Black' now signified where we were at, a new discovery of our bad self."Between his grueling tour schedule and a string of R&B hits, Brown's influence grew throughout the '70s and '80s. He was part of the inaugural class of inductees in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, alongside Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. He won his second Grammy in 1987 for best male R&B vocal performance for "Living in America" -- a best R&B recording Grammy in 1965 for "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" was his first. In 1992, he received a lifetime achievement Grammy.Brown gained so much respect from his fellow artists that it wasn't unusual for him to get name-checked in songs (Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love," for example) or have his music sampled in a hip-hop song. Hip-hop DJs would simply pick one of Brown's distinctive drum breaks and loop it, allowing rappers of all sorts to deliver their rhymes over Brown's foundation."He was an innovator, he was an emancipator, he was an originator," Little Richard told MSNBC. "Rap music, all that stuff, came from James Brown."Even those rebelling against R&B and hip-hop recognized his influence. In 1992, fans of techno rallied around L.A. Style's hit "James Brown Is Dead" as a statement that this new brand of electronic-driven dance songs didn't need his sense of rhythm or soul.Of course, Brown outlived techno's heyday. He also rebounded from a drug-fueled confrontation with police in 1988 that ended in an interstate car chase through Georgia and South Carolina. Brown spent more than two years in prison for aggravated assault and failing to stop for a police officer, but when he was released, he returned to performing with a pay-per-view concert."Even though he had his legal difficulties, no one stopped giving him respect," Sharpton said.In recent years, he resumed his busy touring schedule. (Brown was set to perform at B.B. King Blues Club in Times Square on New Year's Eve.) And he also began recording with some of today's hitmakers, including a collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas last year on "They Don't Want Music.""Being a fan of hip-hop and knowing that the music's backbone is based entirely on James Brown ... it was an otherworldly experience," the Peas' will.i.am said when the album was released. "I remember when we recorded; I played him the beat, all nervous and everything. We all sat in the room and he nodded his head and grunted in approval."Brown is survived by his wife, Tomi Raye Hynie, who was also one of his backup singers, and their son, James Jr. He has four other children, two daughters and sons Daryl and James Brown II, according to his agent, Frank Copsidas of Intrigue Music. Memorial services have not been finalized."He was dramatic to the end, dying on Christmas Day," said the Rev. Jesse Jackson, a friend of Brown's since 1955. "Almost a dramatic, poetic moment. He'll be all over the news all over the world today. He would have it no other way.

Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary's boy child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas day
Hark, now hear the angels sing
A new King born today
And man will live for evermore Because of Christmas day
Trumpets sound and angels sing
Listen what they say
That Man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas day
While shepherds watched their flock by night
Them see a bright new shining star
Them heard a choir sing
The music seemed to come from afar
Now, Joseph and his wife, Mary Come to Bethlehem that night
Them find no place to born she child
Not a single room was in sight
Hark, now hear the angels sing
A new King born today
And man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas day
Trumpets sound and angels sing
Listen what they say
That Man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas day
By and by, they find a little nook
In a stable all forlorn
And in a manger cold and dark
Mary's litlle Boy was born
Trumpets sound and angels sing
Listen what they say
That Man will live for evermore
Because of Christmas day

Rock on, REX
So, what would have been so terrible if I had a small fortune?"
If I were a rich man,Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy man.
I wouldn't have to work hard.Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.
I'd build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen,
Right in the middle of the town.
A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below.
There would be one long staircase just going up,
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.
I'd fill my yard with chicks and turkeys and geese and ducks
For the town to see and hear.
And each loud "cheep" and "swaqwk" and "honk" and "quack"
Would land like a trumpet on the ear,
As if to say "Here lives a wealthy man."
I see my wife, my Golde, looking like a rich man's wife
With a proper double-chin.
Supervising meals to her heart's delight.
I see her putting on airs and strutting like a peacock.
Oy, what a happy mood she's in.
Screaming at the servants, day and night.
The most important men in town would come to fawn on me!
They would ask me to advise them,
Like a Solomon the Wise."If you please, Reb Tevye...""
Pardon me, Reb Tevye..
."Posing problems that would cross a rabbi's eyes!
And it won't make one bit of difference if i answer right or wrong.
When you're rich, they think you really know!
If I were rich, I'd have the time that I lack
To sit in the synagogue and pray.
And maybe have a seat by the Eastern wall.
And I'd discuss the holy books with the learned men, several hours every day.
That would be the sweetest thing of all.

Antidepressants raise risk of suicidal behavior
Posted 12/5/2006 4:20 PM ET
WASHINGTON (AP) — Using antidepressants increases the risk of suicidal behavior among young adults but lessens it for seniors, the Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday.
The effects of antidepressants on adults from 25 to 64 were mixed, so much so that the FDA would only conclude the drug had a neutral effect on suicidal behavior for them.
The information from the mass review of 372 drug trials will be discussed during a meeting next week during which the FDA's staff will discuss plans for changing the labels on drugs such as Lexapro, Zoloft and Paxil.
"When results are analyzed by age, it becomes clear that there is an elevated risk for suicidality and suicidal behavior among adults younger than 25 years of age that approaches that seen in the pediatric population," the FDA said in documents that were released ahead of its Dec. 13 meeting on potential labeling changes

about me: be warned
Character Stats: Rogue (15)Warrior (7)Wizard (14)Paladin (8)
Your Profile:You're clever, funny, and full of surprises. If you're still in school, you're probably the class clown. If you work, you're probably on the verge of being fired - but who cares? Your job's boring anyway. When it comes to leisure, you'd rather watch cartoons, crash a wild party, or stage a practical joke than have an elegant tea with your grandma.
You're not big on being "civilized" or following "rules" such as that pesky "speed limit."Above all, you're a trendsetter and a force of chaos. You see tradition as something to be questioned, structure as something to be toppled. You're popular, charming, and entertaining to be around.
You'd make a great actor, comedian, or a rock musician. Everyone loves having you at parties, because with you there, no one has a chance of getting bored.
Your Mission:You were put on this earth to humble people and KESHI. They will be easy victims, because they're attracted to your charm and wit, and they're too slow to see what you're doing behind their backs. You are the one who has to pull the rug out from under the big guy, because let's face it - you're the only one who can get away with it.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to Get Away With Something. Something small, or something big (but please, something legal). Make your boss laugh at himself. Get money for a homeless shelter by posing as a panhandler. Do coin tricks for kids. Get away with an awful pun. Run for governor of California. Get away with SOMETHING.And don't think you can get away with not doing it. The Famous Adventurer of Silmaria has eyes everywhere.
A Warning:IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Famous Adventurer of Silmaria ONLY condones Rogue-like activity when it harms none, and conforms to the laws of your local barony, state, duchy, kingdom, republic, city, township, etc. Any behavior violating these laws is NOT supported, suggested, or encouraged and will be punished by the miscreant losing all rights, privileges, and title of Hero. As the Famous Adventurer says, "Rogues break the rules - not the law!"Also, try to remember: life isn't a game. Sure, you feel like you have a thousand friends, but sooner or later you're going to run into trouble, and you'll find that people disappear pretty fast when times get tough. It's a good idea to make friends with a Paladin who will stand by you when you mess it all up, and also give you a clue about the Bigger Things. Without the influence of a Paladin in your life, you could very well end up being charming and clever from behind bars.Sometimes you're so used to thinking on your feet that you forget how to plan ahead. If you're going to attempt anything really spectacular, such as overthrowing a dictatorship or stealing secrets from a rival fraternity, you might want to enlist a Wizard to help you prepare. You're not always QUITE as smart as you think you are. What Next:Don't know a Paladin or a Wizard? Maybe you do, but just haven't ferreted out their secret identities yet.
.My Inner Hero - Rogue!
It's a good thing I use my powers for good and not evil, because quite frankly, I could get away with murder. I'm clever, tricky, and charming. I know how to make you laugh with one hand and pick your pocket with the other. Not that I'd ever DO that, of course...
LIFE CAN BE RICH AND FULL-AT ANY AGE
You may be getting older but love and sex are still a vital part of your life. Here is the book that speaks to your concerns about sex beyond the middle years. Two leading experts have completely updated and revised the classic guide on the subject to address the needs of our changing world in the new millennium. Inside you'll find:
• The truth about aging and how it affects sexual desire and lovemaking
• A thorough guide to common medical problems-and solutions
• New drugs that can improve and enhance sexuality-including the latest on Viagra
• Research on post-menopausal changes
• A detailed look at the procedures for easing and solving sexual problems
• Practical strategies for finding new relationships and staying sexually fit
• Advice to help your adult children understand your new relationships
The best authorities on whether love and sex can exist in later life are older people themselves. Frank and Marianne have been together forty-six years. They've led unremarkable lives in terms of success and lucky breaks and have had more than their share of tragedies. Yet in their late seventies they are enthusiastic, optimistic, and in love. Frank says of Marianne, "I love this woman more each day." Marianne replies, "I couldn't have asked for a better partner-he's kind, sweet, funny . . . he is everything a woman could want." Both are quick to add that it is their relationship that has been the core of their sense of satisfaction in life-and their sexual closeness is an indispensable part of their affection for each other. These two are not alone in their point of view. Any of us who has worked professionally with older people (or is older himself) could cite scores of examples of similar attitudes among older men and women, married or single.
Sound research data beyond the clinical observations of those working with older people is another story. The United States lacks a truly comprehensive national survey of sexuality that encompasses the older population. The available information includes the important but now outdated and limited Kinsey studies (first published in 1948), the physiologic investigations of Masters and Johnson, and the findings of both the Duke Longitudinal Studies and the Baltimore Longitudinal Study on Aging. Questionnaire surveys of self-reported sexual activity among older people have been conducted by mail (for example, by Consumers Union), but these provide information only on those who volunteer. Other studies have age cutoffs for their subjects, usually at sixty or seventy. The outcome is that facts and figures on the nature and frequency of sexual activity among older persons, including its association with marital and health status or any other variable in people's lives, are unknown.
One thing is certain, however. Our society is in the midst of an immense demographic change. Every day over six thousand Americans turn sixty. Altogether, forty-five million people or one out of every six of us are sixty or older. By the year 2006 baby boomers will begin to dramatically expand the ranks of the older population as they themselves start turning sixty. In about twenty five years, one in five Americans, including the boomers, will be over sixty-five-a historically unprecedented 20 percent of the population.
The definition of old age is changing. In June 2000, The New Yorker Magazine ran a cartoon showing a woman announcing to her husband, "Good news, honey- seventy is the new fifty." That same year a Harris Poll found that only 14 percent of respondents believed chronological age was the best marker of old age. Instead, 41 percent cited a "decline in physical ability"-a highly variable event-as the best evidence of the beginning of old age. According to this definition, people in good health are younger longer, whereas anyone who gets sick becomes older sooner. As for disability itself, studies show that there have been significant declines in disability rates since 1982. Heart disease and stroke alone have been reduced 60 percent since 1950.
In light of all this, what can we safely say about sexuality in later life? Our views on this topic have not yet caught up with the slowly changing character of aging. Many people-not only the young and middle-aged but older people themselves-are quite uniformly negative about the prospects of continued sexual interest and ability. Many simply assume that the game is over somewhere in late midlife or early later life. They couldn't be more wrong. In spite of the scarcity of nationwide data, we turn to our own clinical and research work and the work of other gerontologists and researchers to demon-B strate that relatively healthy older people who enjoy sex are capable of experiencing it-often until very late in life. Frequently those who do have sexual problems can be helped.
We have written this book for those older men and women who are presently or potentially interested in sexuality and would like to know more about what is likely to happen to their sexuality over time.We will offer solutions to sexual problems that may occur, and propose ways of countering the negative attitudes that older people may experience-within themselves, from family members, from the medical and psychotherapeutic professions, and from society at large. We especially want older people to know that their concerns and problems are not unique, that they are not alone in their experience, and that many others feel exactly as they do. Even those people who have had a lively enthusiasm and capacity for sex all their lives often need information, support, and sometimes various kinds of treatment in order to continue engaging in sexual activity as the years go by. In addition, people for whom sex may not have been especially satisfying in their younger days may find that it is now possible to improve the quality of the experience despite their long-standing difficulties.
Sex and sexuality are pleasurable, rewarding, and fulfilling experiences that can enhance the middle and later years. But they are also-as everyone knows- enormously complex psychologically. Every one of us carries with us throughout our lives a weight of attitudes related to sexuality that have been shaped by our genes, our parents, our families, our teachers, and our society, some of which are positive and some negative, some of which we realize and many of which we are unaware.
Because of this, it is useful to understand what underlies so many of the attitudes and problems about sex that one encounters. If you are an older person, be prepared for the likelihood of conflicting feelings within yourself and contradictory attitudes from the outside world. Should older people have sex lives? Are they even able to make love? Do they really want to? Is it appropriate-that is, "normal" or "decent"-or is sexual interest a sign of "senility" and brain disease (he/she has gone "daft"), poor judgment, or an embarrassing inability to adjust to aging with the proper restraint and resignation?
How much less troubling it would be to accept the folklore ......

UNDAY I DECEMBER 10,2006
More and more parents are choosing to live apart from their children after the latter get married, without any bad blood from either side.Sudeshna Chatterjee reports
THE apron strings are being loosened a bit. Where earlier parents looked forward to spending their twilight years with their children and grandchildren, now an increasing number of senior citizens in India are choosing to live a life of their own in their golden years. Enjoying their space and sense of dignity, the silver-haired populace is opting to live separately after their children get married. And by building their own support network. they are enjoying life on their own terms while keeping in regular touch with their children as well.IN SEARCH OF AN IDENTITY: According to Sheilu Srinivasan. the founder chairperson of Dignity Foundation, the increase in disposable income and the preference for a nuclear family set-up has prompted many elderly people to opt for an independent life and carve an identity of their own."Today, many people from the older generation continue to work even after retirement. And they also get rich dividends from their investments. So they prefer to live separately as they don't want to be a burden. Many of them have bought cottages at Dignity Lifestyle - a township we have built for the older generation at the foothills of Matheran, close to Mumbai," she says. Here, all their needs are taken care of - for a modest price of course - and the couples lead a life far removed from the old age homes that one comes across!LIVE AND LET LIVE: Take 60-year-old
Shefali Sinha. With her husband, Baishnab, she stays in a far-flung suburb of Mumbai, while their two sons reside in different parts of the city."We are happier with this arrangement - we visit our sons often or on weekends. At times, they drop by as well. Now, we all live our life the way we want to. There's no tu-tu-mainmain with my daughters-in-law, I can do things at my own pace and even they don't have to constantly adjust their schedules. I need my space and I need to live my life the way I want to," she maintains. Of course, to cast a blight on the proceedings, an occasional illness does come up, when it's tough for the kids to help as they stay far away and have their jobs and commutes to tend to. "But, we have created our own support system where our neighbours and friends extend the necessary help," adds Shefali, "For instance, recently when I had malaria, my friends regularly sent me food and dropped by often to cheer me up." DISTANCE MATTERS: Distance does make the heart grow fonder. Dr KN Manjunath, consultant geriatrician and physician, Wockhardt Hospital, Bangalore, explains, "People are living longer today. f\nd senior citizens, with more awareness and exposure
to the world, have become more outgoing and have started valuing their independence. Older people are often apprehensive that staying together 24x7 with their children may not ensure the love and bonding which they feel they get when they live independently. Hence the shift. And they seem to be managing rather well, thanks to group activities like a walker's club (as most couples go for morning walks). They make friends there. " CHILL OUT: Cultivating their own in·· terests and hobbies assumes greater importance at this age. For instance, Chennai-based Yogam (77) and BV Eswaran (84) who have three sons constantly exhorting their parents to come and live with them, prefer to live on their own as they can do all the things they've always wanted to.Says Yogam, "We share a great rapport with our daughters-in-law and grandchildren, but it's'nice to have the time to do things I enjoy, which I couldn't do earlier due to time constraints. For example, we have been teaching needy students, reading out to the blind, etc. On behalf of our local sports club, we also organise picnics. We are really chilling Q.utl" -TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Do they know it's Christmas?
It's Christmastime,
there's no need to be afraid
At Christmastime,
we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty
we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world
at Christmastime
But say a prayer,
pray for the other ones
At Christmastime it's hard,
but when you're having fun
There's a world outside your window,
and it's a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
is the bitter sting of tears
And the Christmas bells that ring there
are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God it's them
instead of you
And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life (Oooh)
Where nothing ever grows
No rain or rivers flow
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?
Here's to you raise a glass for everyone
Here's to them underneath that burning sun
Do they know it's Christmastime at all?
We Are The World
We Are The World
There comes a time when e need a certain call
when the world must come together as one.
There are people dying
and it´s time to lend a hand to life,
the greatest gift of all.
We can´t go on pretending day by day that someone, somewhere will soon make a
change. We are a part of God´s great big family
and the truth, you know, love is all we need.
We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones who make a brighter
day, so let´s start giving. There´s a choice we´re making, we´re saving our lives,
it´s true we make a better day, just you and me!
Send me your heart, so they know that someone cares and their lives will be
stronger and free. As God has shown us by turning stone to bread so we all must lend a helping hand.
When you´re down and out there seems no hope at all but if you just belive,
there´s no way we can fall.
Oh, let us realize that a change can only come
when we stand together as one, as one.
We are the world, ...

I am dreaming of a white Christmas
dis christmas season, i will be remembering old friends,
and the new ones i met,
(and the coffee tan girl who made eyes at me)
i will remember Margie, June, Karen, Kathy, Miranda, Cara, Annie, Caraf and Minnie, Vest and Rexy and De Vile and Ashes and Fira and the guy on Siachen
and Kerry, Dorky, Burfica, Andrienne, Shaee, Kim, Cindy (Skylynn), Jennifer, Ashley, Keshi and Michele - the top less waitress at JAZZ COFFEE
and most of all Janice
i dedicate dis song to all u wonderful ppl
Im nothing special, in fact Im a bit of a bore
If I tell a joke, youve probably heard it before
But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
cause everyone listens when I start to sing
Im so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud
So I sayThank you for the music, the songs Im singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me
Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk
She says I began to sing long before I could talk
And Ive often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found out that nothing can capture a heart
Like a melody can?
Well, whoever it was, Im a fan
So I sayThank you for the music, the songs Im singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me
Ive been so lucky, I am the guy with dark hair and skin
I wanna sing it out to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance!
So I sayThank you for the music, the songs Im singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me

Lord, i am coming home
Vile and sinful though my heart may be,
Fully trusting,
Lord, I come to Thee;
Thou hast pow'r to cleanse and make me free:
I am coming home.
Coming home, Coming home,
No longer in the path of sin to roam;
I'm coming home, coming home,
Lord Jesus, I am coming home.
Like a father seeks a wayward child,
Thou hast sought me o'er the desert wild;
Sick and helpless by my sin defiled,
I am coming home.
Pleading tenderly,
Thy voice I hear;
Why should I refuse a Friend so dear?
Thou wilt take away my guilt and fear;
I am coming home.
There is hope alone in Thee, I know;
I am coming home.

Siachen
..The safety, honor and welfare of your country come first always and everytime.
The honor, welfare and comfort of the men you command come next.
Your own ease, comfort and safety come last, always and everytime
24-year-old Vikram and his men assaulted the enemy.
The camp was routed, many enemy soldiers killed and 13 J&K Rifles won a decisive victory.
All his men had made it alive.
Vikram was elated. 'Yeh Dil Maangey More' -- the Pepsi catchline those days -- he told his commander at base camp. .
