Rejoice and be glad ........
it's not the end, it's a new beginning
For all of us, death of a loved one is a painful reality
The intensity of our pain depends upon our relationship
We had wid the deceased person
The disciples of Jesus had to come to terms wid a new reality
They have to accept the fact dat
Jesus who walked along wid them
Taught them
Is no more wid them physically
But by His ressurection
We have a new meaning for our own death
That there is the resurrection of the dead
(Our loved ones are up there, Watching over us, And rooting for us)
Today we are called to be His witnesses
we don’t have to become Christians to be His followers
(Jesus don’t give a damn for the religion stamped on yr passport, or the Crucifix dat some christians wear round their necks)
we can witness to Christ
in our own homes, our neighbourhoods, our work places, our communities.
We are called upon to embrace His values
We have to be Christ alive today
Christ has no body now on earth
But yours
No hands
But yours
No feet
But yours
Yours are the eyes through which He is to look out for the world wid compassion
Yours are the feet wid which He is to go about doing good
Yours are the hands wid which He is to bless us now
